ET Now: Magical things are happening with some of these lifestyle companies — be it Talwalkar, Eicher or for that matter Jubilant Foodworks. What is the deal with the two-wheeler sector?
Jitendra Sriram: It is just evolution of the Indian consumer in a sense by 2017, we may probably hit the magical mark of $2000 per capita. Every economy, when it goes through this stage of $1000 per capita to $2000 per capita, witnesses a shift in consumption trend. Comfort, luxury goods would obviously start getting a liftoff. I guess that trend is prevalent in lot of other things.
There is consciousness about fitness; there are huge things about following passions, leisure and all. In the case of Eicher Motors, there is this separate issue about the launch of all-terrain vehicle (Polaris JV ). These things probably are rubbing off positively on sentiment for the name.
