Jain Irrigation likely to be the biggest beneficiary of PMKSY: Bandyopadhyay

In a chat with ET Now, Sudip Bandyopadhyay, President, Destimoney Securities Pvt Ltd, talks about the likely beneficiaries of the government's Rs 50,000-crore Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY) .

ET Now: Irrigation stocks were quite active on Thursday because of the PM’s initiative on irrigation. From pipe, fertiliser, pesticide companies and even M&M Financial that does not even belong to those pockets, did well. What are your thoughts on irrigation beneficiaries?

Sudip Bandyopadhyay: Even before the NDA party came to power, it had laid a lot of emphasis on irrigation in its manifesto. Somewhere, that will probably get translated into policy. And if that does get translated into policy, the biggest beneficiary of that would undoubtedly be Jain Irrigation. I will suggest that one should keep an eye on Jain Irrigation. Of course, the other stocks you mentioned will also benefit in one way or the other, but the direct beneficiary, if the policy is implemented will be Jain Irrigation.
