IT remains best sector for investments in the medium term: Ajay Bodke

In a chat with ET Now, Ajay Bodke, Head-Investment Strategist & Advisory of Prabhudas Lilladher shares his views on the IT sector.

ET Now: Does one continue to stay put in IT names like TCS, Infosys or Tech Mahindra?

Ajay Bodke: We were advocating Infosys, Wipro, NIIT Technologies and Persistent as our top buys in the large cap and midcap space, respectively. There is no reason why we should not continue to hold positions in these four companies.

The tailwinds from depreciating rupee will help them. The US economy is on the firmest footing among the developed world, which is the largest market for them.

So, from the pricing, volume growth and margin perspective, IT will continue to remain as a sector which needs to be looked at for investments purposes with a medium-term perspective.
