Investors should avoid power sector till the Lok Sabha elections: G Chokkalingam, Equinomics
In a chat with ET Now, G Chokkalingam, Founder, Equinomics Research & Advisory Pvt Ltd shares his views on the power sector. Excerpt:

ET Now: CESC came out with disappointing set of numbers. What is the call on power at large and CESC in particular?

G Chokkalingam: I would still advise staying away from the power sector till the elections are over. We have already seen what happened in Delhi and if competition emerges among the political parties to cut down the tariff, it can hit almost entire sector.

CESC is a great company in terms of the balance sheet. If it falls substantially to another 5 per cent, I would advise accumulation of CESC.
