Investors are in the buying mode: Daljeet Singh Kohli, IndiaNivesh Ltd

In an interview with ET Now, Daljeet Singh Kohli, Head of Research, IndiaNivesh Ltd, shares his views on markets. Excerpts:

ET Now: A number of interesting investors attended your conference, what are your clients saying, are they putting in money, the markets are soft, are they taking a bit of step back and doing a wait and watch approach?

Daljeet Singh Kohli: The kind of investors that we had called for, they were all long-term investors. They basically apply bottom-up approach. They do not go by what is happening in the overall market and most of the companies that participated are not part of any index, so you will not find many of these midcap or small cap companies that we cover. They will normally be part of any big index where people have to follow them. It is more of a stock specific approach. I did not find that kind of any nervousness among these investors. They were all cautious. One would say that one will have to look at their numbers and a little bit of confidence was shaking, but overall everyone was in the buying mode only.
