Infra to be on uptrend for now, but will frizzle out soon: Ashwani Gujral

Ashwani Gujral, Chief Market Strategist, ashwanigujral.com, gives his views to ET now on infra stocks.

Is this sustainable for the near term the bounce back particularly in infra, for somebody who had shorts should he or she cover up their shorts right now because the rally could sustain a little bit longer for the infra names in particular?

It depends if you were short on IVRCL from 100 bucks, I do not think you need to cover but if you were out of the money in your shorts then may be you could see another 5% to 8% on the upside.

But overall these kinds of flashy rallies they do not sustain and chances are that three day reactive move and then you again see declines. So shorts can see how long this up trend sustains, chances are it will fizzle out fairly quickly.
