Infra stocks not likely to see uptrend soon: Deepak Mohoni

At the moment Infrastructure stocks are still in a downtrend, and there are no signs of bottoming out. It will be quite a long wait before you see a confirmed uptrend in these stocks.

What is the call on midcap infrastructure stocks like Lanco and Punj Lloyd?

It may be a little too late to go short, except for some intraday or overnight or shorter term plays because the decline in these stocks has really been going on for an extremely long time and they have been among the harder hit stocks in the market since the market topped out on Diwali.

IVRCL had yesterday's closing as 52% down from November 5, so that is the worst stock of that lot but the others are not really very far behind. At the moment Infrastructure stocks are still in a downtrend, and there are no signs of bottoming out. It will be quite a long wait before you see a confirmed uptrend in these stocks.
