Indian IT equity space a good bet: Dr Tan Chong Koay, CEO, Pheim Asset Management
Dr Tan Chong Koay, Founder & CEO, Pheim Asset Management, talks to ET Now on Indian IT equity space.
How would you place your bets in the entire Indian IT equity space at this point in time with the kind of currency fluctuations that we have been witnessing?
India is very strong and has build a good name for IT provider services and if you come in to buy the IT company right after the tax bubble in 2001, which is the first year we as a company invested in India in 2001 and you make a lot of money because the management is good and they are very strong, they are very focussed.
However, when other IT companies start going up and start demanding a PE of more than 25-30, the share will slow down, so what I am trying to say is that it is a very good company, many of them but it is the price that's important to you. You should never overpay. Recent correction hopefully that people would go back and invest in IT companies again.
