India not the only EM game in town: Arvind Sanger
We have remained hopeful about the long-term growth prospects, says Sanger. Green shoots are visible, he adds.

ET Now: Can you share your view on the first year of the Modi government and its impact on the domestic equity market?
Arvind Sanger: The stock market has remained more or less flat, which has disappointed most of us (foreign investors).
That said, we have remained hopeful about the long-term growth prospects. The long-term has just taken a little longer to get here, but green shoots are visible.
Hopefully, we will build on to that. But it is just going to be a slower process, given the political challenges in India are little more complicated.
In the mean time, the rest of the world is not standing still. That is creating another challenge for India. India was the only emerging market game in town for most of the last year. But now, that is no longer the case. Therefore, money is going to be divided amongst many opportunities. That is another challenge for India.
