I would stay away from the infrastructure stocks: Ramanathan K, ING Investment

Some steps taken by the PMO office has given some confidence in the investment community. However, we need to wait and watch.

In an interview with ET Now, Ramanathan K, CIO, ING Investment Management India shares his views about the infrastructure space.

ET Now: Do these infrastructure players give an entry opportunity or you would stay away?

Ramanathan K: I would still stay away from infrastructure stocks. While they are to some extent interest rate sensitives and there are more pressing issues with regards to order book which need to be resolved. Yes, some steps taken by the PMO office has given some confidence in the investment community. However, we need to wait and watch how these are implemented. So, until there is some clarity on the improvement in order book position despite the outlook on interest rates being positive, we will stay away from infrastructure stocks.
