HCL Tech and TCS could outperform Infosys this quarter: Harit Shah

In a chat with ET Now, Harit Shah, Senior Research Analyst, Nirmal Bang Institutional Equities shares his views on the IT stocks. Excerpts:

ET Now: Looking at the Infosys numbers and hearing the managing commentary, which are the midcap stocks which you would like to keep an eye out for in the third quarter?

Harit Shah: As far as Infosys is concerned, their strength is more on margin expansion and revenue has been a little tepid. Now this being a seasonally weak quarter, this was partly expected. That will mostly be the case for most of the other IT firms as well. Maybe, you will see some companies outperforming. So HCL Tech and TCS could probably outperform Infosys this quarter from a dollar revenue growth perspective, but in a nutshell, the seasonally weak quarter would impact everybody to a large extent.
