Good opportunity to buy individual stocks with potential: G Chokkalingam, Equinomics Research & Advisory

In a chat with ET Now, G Chokkalingam, Founder & Managing Director, Equinomics Research & Advisory Pvt. Ltd., talks about the PSU stocks.

ET Now: PSUs have fallen quite a bit today. Anything that you are looking at in the PSU basket?

G Chokkalingam: I suggested a sell PSUs in the morning itself, and booking profits in bank stocks. However, on some specific PSU stocks we are still bullish. There is a lot of value.

There are a lot of stocks, for example Balmer Lawrie & Company on one-year forward earning basis. It is still quoting around 7 PE. Likewise, there are a few more stocks in the PSU basket which have not rallied as much as other stocks as far as fundamentals are concerned.

My view is that there is limited upside for the index, but there is huge potential for individual stocks. So this is a good opportunity today to pick up such individual stocks.
