Gati as not been that strong: Deepak Mohoni

What is your take on Gati on the?

The last week has been buoyant. But if you go a little further back, it has not been that strong. It lost about half its value - it fell from Rs 100 to Rs 50 before starting this rally. If you look at the chart over a few years, you find that even its recent peak of Rs 100 was less than half its peak in 2007, that was over Rs 200.

So here we have a situation where the stock is not making new highs as you would expect a bullish stock to do. A good comparison is with Blue Dart Express that is indeed making new highs, though that too has fallen a bit along with the market’s decline since Diwali. It still sort of went double above its 2007 peak whereas Gati had gone to half. So there is a sharp contract between somewhat similar stocks here.
