Fertiliser space has excellent companies: Sudip Bandopadhyay

Sudip Bandopadhyay, MD & CEO, Destimoney in an interview with ET Now talks about the fertilizer space.

What is your call on fertilizer space?

There are a whole lot of midcaps where certain policy action of government will make a sea change, look at midcaps in the fertilizer space. I think there are excellent companies Chambal Fertilizers, Coromandel International, Zuari Chemicals, Deepak Fertilizers.

Little bit of policy decisions which are awaited for a long time once they come in these stock should perform exceedingly well even otherwise they are very well performing stocks available at a decent valuation. Look at the sugar sector, there are lot of companies which are doing exceedingly well look at Shree Renuka Sugar, look at EID Parry which will benefit from both sugar as well as fertilizer because EID Parry holds significant stake in Coromandel International as well. So policy changes which are awaited for a long time can help these companies also big time.

Any particular sectoral interest that you see right now and that you are advising to clients that they can seek value in these sectors?

Well as a sector we like the logistic space, we like the auto ancillary space, we like the fertilizer related stocks and we like the midcap pharma space as well.
