Fertiliser a politically sensitive issue: Sundaram BNP Paribas

I do not know because fertiliser is not in the same sphere or arena as the rest of the sectors or the topics because fertiliser is a politically sensitive issue.

What happened with the fertiliser pack yesterday? A section of the market believes that this is probably a signal from the government that they would probably move ahead with proactive measures on control spaces. Could this theory be forwarded for the oil marketing pack as well?

I do not know because fertiliser is not in the same sphere or arena as the rest of the sectors or the topics because fertiliser is a politically sensitive issue. It concerns the pharmas and the government is very keen that the pharmas do not pay very high prices if they were to be freed and then made market related. Theoretically, it might be a good move but there are a lot of practical issues involved in implementing those things because they are very price sensitive. Anything you do with agriculture and farm are price sensitive issues. You can expect a lot more private participation particularly in infrastructure or energy.
