Expect post-elections momentum to get bigger: Pankaj Pandey, ICICIdirect.com

In a chat with ET Now, Pankaj Pandey, Head Research at ICICIdirect.com, shares his views on the market. Excerpts:

ET Now: Do you think there is reason to believe that the outperformance is here to stay?

Pankaj Pandey: We are in a sweet spot globally because we are one of the best economy in terms of growth. Commodities are softening, which is positive for a country like ours. We are also seeing domestic revival in consumer sentiment which is leading towards a positive direction for the markets.

We would like to believe that we have already seen a 900-point kind of rally in the market post-elections and we would expect this momentum to be sustained. However, in certain cases, we might see a bit of consolidation, but structurally, we are expecting this momentum to get bigger.
