Expect markets to inch-up through the result season: Sandip Sabharwal, Market Expert

In a chat with ET Now, Sandip Sabharwal, Market Expert, shares his outlook on the market. Excerpts:

ET Now: What do you think is going to be the market momentum through the earning season now?

Sandip Sabharwal: The markets have shown a lot of resilience right throughout the last few days, given the concerns surrounding the global economy.

Markets are showing a lot of strength; they are climbing the wall of worry. Except for a few sectors where the valuations seem to be slightly stretched, be it FMCG or IT, most of the other sectors are looking good.

The economy is showing signs of revival despite minimal action from the government. Thus, we will see markets inch-up through the result season.

I do not think the markets will take any negative surprises which come in the results as the expectations are pretty low, except of the IT sector.
