Expect Infosys to cut FY13 dollar revenue guidance to 6.5-8.5%: Enam

It expects the company to up its FY13 rupee guidance to Rs 174-177 from Rs 159-161 on account of a sharp depreciation in the rupee in the June quarter.

MUMBAI: Enam is of the view that Infosys may cut its FY13 dollar revenue guidance to 6.5-8.5 percent YoY from 8-10 percent earlier to factor in adverse crosscurrency moves and a likely flat Q1. It expects the company to up its FY13 rupee guidance to Rs 174-177 from Rs 159-161 on account of a sharp depreciation in the rupee in the June quarter.

"A 6.5-8.5 percent YoY revenue guidance and a flat Q1 would imply a 3-5 percent ask rate for Q2-Q4FY13. Q2 is traditionally the strongest quarter for Infosys and, hence, a strong Q2FY13 guidance will reduce the pressure on an otherwise seasonally weak December quarter,” the report noted.
