Expect higher volatility in October, mid-November as well: Manishi Raychaudhuri, BNP Paribas Securities
Manishi Raychaudhuri, MD & HoR, BNP Paribas Securities, shares his views on the current outlook of the local and global market.

ET Now: September was a month of high volatility. What is in store for us in October?
Manishi Raychaudhuri: The present volatility may continue for some more time. If you look at all across Asia and India in particular, this is the month of the results season and it would spill over into mid-November. For the north Asian countries, it would continue for slightly longer. Thus, during these times of significant news flow, we tend to see slightly higher volatility and it would be reasonable to expect that to continue in the month of October.
As far as global economy is concerned, we have significant news flow, particularly, the debt ceiling issue that everyone seems to be talking about in the United States. Therefore, I do not really see any departure from this trend of high volatility for the present point of time at least.
