Dose of recapitalisation has re-energised some PSU banks: Arindam Ghosh, BlackRidge Capital Advisors

In a chat with ET Now, Arindam Ghosh, CEO, BlackRidge Capital Advisors, shares his views on the banking space. Excerpts:

ET Now: Will money continue to chase banking names if market were to go higher?

Arindam Ghosh: Many of these large cap private sector banking stocks have run their course. We see a lot of opportunity now resurfacing as far as some of the PSU banks are concerned.

One should wait for the results to come and then take a view—that would give some buying opportunities as well in terms of valuation, price to book etc. There has been a dose of recapitalisation which has reenergised some of the PSU banks.

Hence, there is value selectively in that space; they have actually been ignored and beaten down in the past all the more, and that provides opportunity going into the future.
