Don't expect spectacular turnaround in IT sector earnings: Ritu Arora

In a chat with ET Now, Ritu Arora, CIO, Canara HSBC OBC Life Insurance, shared his views on IT sector.

ET Now: What is your sense on what could IT do in this earning season?

Ritu Arora: I would concur with your summary and I would think IT would be under pressure what would be key to look out for is a volume growth that these companies have to demonstrate. Of course, US economy has been a little stable but I do not expect a spectacular turnaround in their performance over the last quarter. If they maintain the same levels or show a slight improvement it would make me happy. Other than that my expectation of the result season would be if it is again stabilises at the level that would demonstrated last quarter in terms of revenue growth of about 13%-14% and if we see an earnings growth of about 8% plus, I would be happy.
