Domestic focus companies have done well: Vikas Pershad

Your market outlook?

I do want to say one thing on the issue of domestic versus foreign companies. One of the things that I do like most about India is the fact that some very strong companies are so domestically focussed. So some of my favourite companies over the past year and half have been entire domestic focus companies. Godrej Consumer Holdings has had the international acquisitions. IRB, Jain Irrigation, financial companies that are focussed on the domestic consumer financial story especially outside the urban areas. So for me, that has actually been a very appealing thing and if you look at how the Indian market is done overall in the past few weeks, it actually has held up well against most of the foreign markets and among those, the domestic focus companies have done well.
