Docomo buying more stake Tata Tele could be negative for the sector: Deepesh Pandey

Were you tracking the news on Tata Communications or rather TTML, the other group company and how Docomo perhaps might be looking at raising their stake? The company of course has denied it but the analyst community believes that there could be something in the works down the line...

Yes, I have read it as much as it has appeared in the media which is about the intent of Docomo to increase stake and that will again be a bit of a worry for the sector because it gives more capital, more cash for Tata Communications to continue fighting for market share and be more aggressive in terms of its efforts to increase its market share and increase its subscriber base. So this could again be a kind of a negative for this sector in terms of giving fresh capital for companies to continue to wage tariff wars.
