Do not invest in real estate at this point: TS Anantakrishnan

In a chat with ET Now, TS Anantakrishnan, Head-Prime Wealth Management, shares his views on the real estate sector.

ET Now: What is your call on the real estate sector?

TS Anantakrishnan: We think the real estate is a difficult market. We do not see much volume, although the prices have not yet come down. Affordability is still a big issue but within that space, Oberoi Realty and Sobha are looking good. Other than that, we are not looking at any of the other names whether it would be a DLF or Unitech.

We do see bouts of short covering across the board in many of these counters. However, as a theme we do not think real estate is the place to invest, at least at this point.
