Coromandel Fertilizer is attractively valued: Sudip Bandyopadhyay

Sudip Bandyopadhyay, Managing Director & CEO, Convexity Solutions in an interview with ET Now talks about fertiliser stocks.

What is your take on the fertiliser sector?

I do like fertilizer sector as well. Lot of things have been happening. People are rightly saying there are too many moving parts as far as this industry is concerned. There has been some policy ambiguity. At the beginning of the year nutrient based subsidy scheme came for phosphoric fertilizers. We were all expecting that something similar will happen for urea. It has not yet happened.

There has been some tampering with the nutrient based subsidy scheme for phosphoric fertilizer as well but in spite of that a company like Coromandel Fertilizer I think is available at an extremely attractive valuation, good management, potential for getting excellent return even from current levels and they have a whole lot of businesses which are not subsidy linked so great company, great sector going forward can only be better. Look at infrastructure sector also I think there are good stories available in the infrastructure industry, infrastructure space as well both in midcap and large cap. One needs to look at the right management and the potential and pick stocks.
