Choose midcap stocks only in promising sectors like Banking, IT: Prakash Diwan, Altamount Capital Management

In a chat with ET Now, Prakash Diwan, Director, Altamount Capital Management, shares his views on midcap stocks. Excerpts:

ET Now: A common recommendation is that a lot of midcaps have not participated. Your thoughts?

Prakash Diwan: I would like to only stick to the midcaps within the promising sectors such as Banking and IT. The sectors that are on the bottom-up basis also qualify. However, we should not go out and just buy blindly because it is in the midcap category.
