Cairn offers a good play on crude: Suresh Mahadevan

Suresh Mahadevan, MD, Head-India Equities, UBS Securities in an interview with ET Now talks about Cairn.

What is your call on Cairn-Vedanta deal?

We actually do not have a very strong view on some of these M&A situations simply because it is very difficult for us to have an edge because whatever is available in public domain is what we have got. So I would not be able to comment on specific M&A situation which changes almost every day. I would rather refrain but fundamentally Cairn is interesting at these levels and it also offers a good play on crude. If Indian investors are worried about crude, this could be a nice way to hedge. So from that perspective, we like Cairn.
