Buy Voltas for medium to long term : G Chokkalingam

In a chat with ET Now, G Chokkalingam, Executive Director & Chief Investment Officer, Centrum Wealth Management shares his view on Voltas:

ET Now: What did you make of the some of the numbers in particularly what has happened to Voltas and Divi’s, let us talk about the Voltas first and the kind of disappointment on the bottom line?

G Chokkalingam: Yes, it was expected although the stock has taken a lot of beating. Definitely the long term investors can still accumulate Voltas at the current price because a) you have that auto name behind it and b) there is a lot of scope for capital good sector to play out in a big way in the current calendar year because along with the stock market the capital good sector has been most suppressed in the last four to five years. Finally, with the reversal of interest rate cycle I firmly believe that there is a lot of opportunity for capital good sector, so therefore definitely one can do bottom fishing in stocks like Voltas for the medium to long term.
