Buy Timex: Gul Tekchandani, Investment Advisor

Gul Tekchandani, Investment Advisor, in an interview with ET Now talks about Timex group.

Timex group, we spoke about it when the stock was 44-45, 36 right now, would you buy into it?

Little bit, yes, definitely. Nothing has changed except for the noise, which is there. I do not think that anyone of us believed that there was absolutely everything in India was snow-white. So when you get to hear about it, why are you so upset and yes, the intelligence bureau and things like that always have to do their job and they are doing it but till now tell me hand on heart, what has happened?

We all will be very happy when we see actually how India as a nation puts this behind and gets on with business, that’s important and that’s what we are waiting to see. If that happens, then you can merrily go and buy stocks and things will be alright and as long as the RBI continues to focus on giving liquidity into the system.

You have given us names before, Timex being one of them, what would you pull out of the hat this time?

I have just gone and bought something, which is called Selan for the long-term, may be for two years and hopefully it is an oil E&P’s company, which is small and probably they will make money for me, that’s it.
