'BUY' OR 'SELL' ideas by experts for today's trade

Indian markets now face a two day sabbatical and that means the traders may be wary of holding on to longs added on Monday, hence we might see markets stalling at 4,950 levels on Tuesday.

NEW DELHI: The initial bump up in prices looked more on account of short covering or a technical bounce-back, but the fact the gains sustained throughout the session showed value buying in Indian equities on Monday.

The key resistance levels for the Nifty index are 4,970, 5,050, 5,200, 5,330 and 5,400. On the downside, support levels are 4,800, 4,720 and 4,650", added Vinit Pagaria, Investment Strategies at Microsec Capital Limited.

"Markets now face a two day sabbatical and that means the traders may be wary of holding on to longs added on Monday, hence we might see markets stalling at 4,950 levels on Tuesday", said Kunal Saraogi, CEO, Equityrush.

"The 50-share Nifty index is unlikely to break its key technical resistance in a hurry. Should the markets come in for some serious profit booking, 4,880 will act as the immediate support. For the BSE Sensex the key technical levels are 16,500 and 16,880 on the way up and 16,156 on the way down", added Kunal.
