'BUY' OR 'SELL' ideas by experts for Saturday, January 07

NEW DELHI: Indian markets are expected to trade in range on Friday ahead of corporate earning season beginning next week. According to analysts, earnings from Indian companies are largely set to disappoint on the back on shrinking margins, slowdown in growth, contraction in demand, depreciating rupee and high borrowing cost which has put any expansion plans of India Inc on the backburner.
Markets closed absolutely flat on Friday. The main 30-share BSE index ended 0.07 percent higher at 15,867.73, with more than half of its components ending in the red. The benchmark index fell as much as 1.2 percent during the day.
"Markets look to be in a range, a very tight in between levels of 4650 - 4800. In the last couple of weeks, we have tested the 4800 level but have not been able to break it successfully," said Kunal Bothra, Senior Technical Analyst, Manager Advisory, LKP Securities Ltd.
"The only silver lining in this market is the positive A/D ratio even on negative price days of the benchmark. Technically, many stocks have completed theor short term bullish patterns, which again is a positive sign for the market. However, I think if markets are able break 4800, it would confirm that this rally has further momentum till 4900-4950 levels at least," added Kunal.
