ET Now spoke to various experts and here's what they have to recommend for today's trade.

NEW DELHI: Indian markets are expected to trade higher on Monday tracking strong gains on Wall Street last week on robust jobs data.

Indian markets have gained almost 16% in last seven weeks backed by strong rally in global markets.

The National Stock Exchange's Nifty continued its winning streak for fifth straight session on Friday and closed above its important psychological level on the back of buying interest from foreign institutional investors.

“The rally in Nifty continues unabated as FII inflows are pushing stocks higher. The rally has been supported by strong delivery based volumes and in no time the index has moved higher to test the first resistance level of 5320,” said Vinit Pagaria, VP – Investment Strategies, Microsec Capital Ltd.

“It looks poised to move higher up to 5400 in the short term as a result of short covering. A move beyond 5400 is likely to take it higher to 5550,” added Vinit.

“Looking at short term view for our markets 5200 is a key level to watch out on the downside while on the upside 5400 is very crucial level for Nifty and 18000 for Sensex,” said Rakesh Gandhi, Sr Technical Analyst of LKP Securities Ltd.
