Buy L&T and BHEL for long term: Ashwani Gujral
"At around these 1300-1350 kind of levels, Larsen has lots of support. So it is a decent buy but in the short run you may not benefit."
What is the call on L&T and BHEL?
Great companies do not generally make good stocks. So they may not immediately start outperforming but if you are that longer term investor, stocks which have fallen half their values particularly in the infra space if you do not want to go down the capitalisation, these are decent stocks to buy at these levels.
Sure do not expect great returns in the short run but probably these are stocks you buy and forget. Whenever rates start coming down, you will see 25-30% in both these stocks in a hurry.
So around these 1300-1350 kind of levels, Larsen has lots of support. So it is a decent buy but in the short run you may not benefit.
Similarly BHEL around 300 to about 350, it has tried to make a base, it has come down from about 550. It is not often these stocks harm. So these are good places to get into these stocks from a longer term point of view.
