Bullish about BPCL: Avinnash Gorakssakar

ET Now: What is your call on BPCL?

Avinnash Gorakssakar: In the OMC space, definitely BPCL is the best. The announcement of bonus has been a pleasant surprise. Going forward, most of these stocks are purely event driven, technical bets.

From a long term basis, unless, we see a policy-based announcement for diesel deregulation- which looks to be difficult in the current scenario- it is better to put your money on the upstream companies where the upside is more visible.

Clearly, in a GAIL, Oil India and ONGC, there is money to be made in the upstream pocket. In the OMC pack, if nothing comes on the issue of diesel price increase, then this could be a event driven call, you could possibly see some sell-of in the coming few days.
