Betting more on 260-280 seats for NDA: Sandip Sabharwal

In a chat with ET Now, Sandip Sabharwal shares his views on the market outlook post the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

ET Now: 16th May is the grand finale but the semi final will be on 13th of May?

Sandip Sabharwal: 12th evening itself right.



ET Now: Well markets will react it on 13th?

Sandip Sabharwal: Yes, so that is what will happen because last time exit polls give a reasonable idea. I guess this time the way the valuation is being done will be better than last time; so trend will be much more clearer.



ET Now: And Exit polls are much better than opinion polls because you talk with the person who has actually casted this polls. So let us understand the NDA band the general view on the street is that NDA will get anywhere between 230 to 250 seats. Anything less than 230, is that death knell for the market anything above 250 is that a party time for market?

Sandip Sabharwal: If that is the view still - 230 to 250 - then we will get that easily. My guess is I am betting more on 260 to 280 so even 250 I do not think we will create a huge up move in the markets.



ET Now: So 250 is in the price?

Sandip Sabharwal: Yes, so 260 to 280 is where the band should be and if that comes through then we will see the markets move up significantly.
