Berger Paints a decent bet from a medium term horizon: Avinnash Gorakssakar, Mintdirect.com
In a chat with ET Now, Avinnash Gorakssakar, Head of Research at Mintdirect.com, shares his views on the Berger Paints. Excerpts:

ET Now: What is the call on Berger Paints?

Avinnash Gorakssakar: If you see the performance of the company and the clear positioning of the kind of products they have in the market, with softer crude prices and with the rupee being stable, their input cost in the coming quarters could possibly see some improvement and that could help their operating margins improve. If one looks at Asian Paints, there is a lot of catching up to do for Berger Paints and they have a decent market share - both on the decorative as well as on the industrial side. Hence, one can definitely look at it from a medium term horizon.
