Balkrishna Industries: A fabulous performer with great track record, says Dipan Mehta (BSE, NSE)

In a chat with ET Now, Dipan Mehta, Member BSE and NSE, shares his views on Balkrishna Industries. Excerpts:

ET Now: What is your pick among some of the interesting midcap companies?

Dipan Mehta: We like a company called Balkrishna Industries—a major exporters of 'off-the-road tyres'; a major plant has already gone on stream. It has put an adequate capacity and it has been a fabulous performer; it had a fantastic track record.

The kind of dynamics of the industry and its own cost structure, we feel it can deliver good consistent performance over the next two-three years.

Like such companies, there are other midcap companies which are export focused.
