Avoid metal stocks for time being: Ashu Madan, COO, Religare Securities

ET Now: What is the view on some of the metal names?

Ashu Madan: They would be in line with the market. Investors cannot expect outperformance from this sector. However, this sector may underperform the market for the immediate short term. So, when the market turns up and the sentiment turns bullish, then only something would happen to the sector.

At present, nothing much happening in the sector because we feel that there are other sectors to watch out for. Even if the market rallies, it is difficult to identify the leaders. It is still not clear that which sectors will take the leadership position. But, certainly metals is not one of those.
