Rajesh Kothari, Managing Director, AlfAccurate Advisors, in an interview with ET Now, talks about the prospect of metals arena.

ET Now: What is the outlook on metals arena, and particularly the likes of Tata Steel, SAIL, Hindalco, also for that matter?

Rajesh Kothari: One should avoid metal as a basket, because I expect that it is going to be pressure on the commodity prices in the near term. And therefore, I would like to avoid the metal basket. I think it is better that if we stick on the consumer play. You can play banking which is also entirely consumer play. You can play domestic automobiles which is also a good basket. You can play large retailing formats or a basket like Jubilant Food or something like that because those are also very right consumer leverage. Whether it is Titan or VIP or Jubilant Food or these kind of names, but I would like to avoid the metal as a basket.
