Avoid buying stocks in the metal sector: Rajesh Kothari

"We are not very positive on global economic growth outlook and, therefore, the best thing is to avoid this sector for a moment in our view. "

Rajesh Kothari, MD, AlfAccurate Advisors in an interview with ET Now talks about metal stocks.

In the light of volatile global commodity prices, particularly in base metal region, what's your own assessment? Would you be taking a call on base metals as a whole?

No, we still continue to avoid the metal sector as a whole because we are not very positive on global economic growth outlook and, therefore, the best thing is to avoid this sector for a moment in our view.

For next 3-6 months, it is probably preferred that you stick to the domestic business model rather than the global business models because once the demand outlook again goes down in the USA, probably the stock price correction will also happen simultaneously taking clue from the commodities.
