Aviation companies will eventually start making money: Ashu Madan

On operating front, I do not see any company should be incurring any loss in future and there will be times when you will see the fortunes of these companies will turnaround.

In a chat with ET Now, Ashu Madan, COO, Religare Securities, shares his views on aviation.

ET Now: How are you looking at aviation?

Ashu Madan: Few airlines have been benefited over the problems with Kingfisher and obviously to some extent Indian Airlines. It is widely believed that the aviation sector is normally very difficult to run and people end up losing money, but at the end of the day if you look at the domestic consumption theory this is another sector which should be treated on consumption pattern.

Sooner or later, this myth has to go that these aviation companies cannot make money. If you look at the load factor, the shift has taken place in the last few years. On operating front, I do not see any company should be incurring any loss in future and there will be times when you will see the fortunes of these companies will turnaround.
