AstraZeneca a good candidate for delisting: DD Sharma, Anand Rathi Securities

DD Sharma, Head of Research, Anand Rathi Securities spoke to ET Now on AstraZeneca and other delisting stocks.

What would you do with these stocks like AstraZeneca, if you have a view or otherwise even the other delisting stocks?

I must correct you the first stock to come out with a delisting notice was BOC India. It at that time moved from around 230 to 290 and it is close to around that level only. Right now that will be the company that will start the process of delisting first.

AstraZeneca is also definitely a good candidate for delisting and they have announced now, so stock is up. All these stocks because it is the bargaining of the suppliers and the buyers who are to what extent eager to de-list faster. The price is dependent on that, so what could be the price is anybody's guess.

If you see the holders of the shares, if they are having the strong bargaining power, they can extract more and in that case, anything from 20% to 40% from the current levels is possible in all these cases.
