Among industrial space, Larsen & Toubro is the best stock: Tirthankar Patnaik

In a chat with ET Now, Tirthankar Patnaik, Religare Capital Markets Ltd, shares his views on industrial space.

ET Now: While you were talking about being a bit defensive in this market, what is your view on some of the infrastructure or the high beta names?

Tirthankar Patnaik: At this point, I will be a seller in any of these names. In the whole industrial space the only stock that we like has been Larsen & Toubro and we sort of stick to that in our model portfolio.

For the rest, in terms of midcaps probably in capital good space we like Crompton Greaves or Cummins but other than that none. In the intra space, actually no, we are not expecting any key events or key announcements from the government coming up right now.

So unless that happens, there is no trigger for these stocks. They are cheap and they might remain cheap at this point. At this point as I pointed out, we will be sellers of rate sensitives.
