All FIIs trying to create some alpha in market: Prateek Agarwal, ASK Investment Manager

In a chat with ET Now, Prateek Agarwal, CIO, ASK Investment Manager, shares his views on the FIIs. Excerpts:

ET Now: Do you think FIIs are now seeping out of the Nifty names?

Prateek Agarwal: FIIs are a huge number of people; technically, we may also be a FII as we advice $150 million offshore.

Most of the FIIs are advised by domestics. It is just that what kind of a portfolio stance advisor or a manager takes.

Thus, it is a variety of things that many number of people are trying to do, and all are trying to create some bit of alpha in the market. Those guys may have the advantage of global experience, and may be pitching in for a long period of time as against most of the domestics.

We have noticed that good quality businesses, where there is sight of growth for a long period of time, has seen continuous interest from all quarters.
