Wockhardt slumps 13% as company receives Form 483 for Shendra plant
NEW DELHI: Shares of Wockhardt slipped about 13 per cent in trade on Friday after the company said it received Form 483 from the US drug regulator for its Shendra plant. The inspection at its Shendra plant ended on January 14, 2015.

In reaction to the development, the scrip slumped 12.69 per cent to hit a low of Rs 1,323 on the BSE.

"Will respond to USFDA's Form 483 with corrective measures within 15 days," the company said.

In another instance, 62,555 bottles of Azithromycin tablets manufactured by Wockhardt are being recalled by PD-Rx Pharmaceuticals Inc in the US market.

This nationwide Class II recall is on account of "the original manufacturer's recall, in which the firm did not adequately investigate customer complaints," the United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) said in its latest Enforcement Report.
