Wipro to consider shares buyback on July 20

BENGALURU: Wipro said it would consider a share buyback at its board meeting next week, making it likely the company will repurchase shares for the second time in as many years.

Wipro had said it would look at a buyback in July when it announced its fourth-quarter results. Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services and Cognizant have all announced share buybacks.

“Wipro Ltd has now informed BSE that the Board will consider a proposal for buyback of equity shares of the Company on July 20, 2017,” the company said in a filing to the stock exchange.
