This means today is the last day to buy Wipro shares to be eligible for the said dividend.
"The Board of Directors (“Board”) of Wipro Limited (“Company”), have at their meeting held over January 16-17, 2025, considered and approved the following: Payment of interim dividend of Rs 6 per equity share of par value Rs 2 each to the Members of the Company as on January 28, 2025, being the Record Date," said the company in an exchange filing.
Additionally, the board informed that the payment of the said interim dividend will be made on or before February 15.

This is the first dividend that Wipro is paying out to its shareholders in the last one year, according to Trendlyne data.
Wipro Q3 results
Wipro had reported a net profit of Rs 3,354 crore for the quarter ended December 2024, up by 24% from the same quarter of last year. Revenue from operations, meanwhile, increased by a marginal 0.5% year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 23,319 crore in the quarter ended December 2024.

The record date determines which shareholders are eligible for benefits like dividends, splits, or bonus shares. To qualify, investors must hold shares in their demat account by the record date, which requires buying at least one day before the ex-date due to T+1 settlement.
The shares of Wipro closed 0.76% higher at Rs 320.05 on the BSE on Friday.
