When will the stock market be closed in April?

NEW DELHI: Stock market investors and traders will get a chance to take a big breather in April as there will be an extra-long weekend this month.
Equity, currency and derivatives markets will be closed on April 14 and April 15 (Thursday and Friday) as Dalal Street will observe Mahavir Jayanti/Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar Jayanti and Good Friday, respectively.
Commodity markets will be closed on both days in the morning session but will function in the evening on Thursday. On Friday, there will be no training throughout the day.
Since there are weekends following these two holidays, April is giving you a 4-day respite from trading.
