VSNL slips despite stake sale in Sri Lankan arm
International voice and data services provider Videsh Sanchar Nigam's stock dropped 1.04 per cent to Rs 738.15 even after it sold 10 per cent stake in its wholly-owned Sri Lankan subsidiary VSNL Lanka.
The 10 per cent stake was acquired by Sunshine Holdings PLC, a Sri Lankan conglomerate, for about 75 million Sri Lankan rupees (Rs 2.72 crore).
Sunshine Holdings PLC has interests in pharmaceuticals, travel & tourism, tea & rubber cultivation and managing portfolio investments.
