In its latest mutual fund analysis, ETMarkets highlighted the stocks that witnessed the largest increase in mutual fund holdings in July 2026 compared with June 2026. The report revealed that 58 stocks recorded net additions of more than 1 crore shares each, indicating strong buying interest from mutual fund houses.
To identify the most promising opportunities from this list, we applied a second filter, focusing on stocks that not only witnessed significant mutual fund accumulation but also delivered gains in the range of 10-76 per cent since the beginning of July. This two-step screening narrowed the universe to eight standout stocks, reflecting both strong institutional demand and robust market performance.

Flat Returns
Notably, among the 58 stocks, Vodafone Idea, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Biocon recorded the largest additions to mutual fund holdings in July 2026. Mutual funds added a net 30.42 crore shares of Vodafone Idea, 9.23 crore shares of Kotak Mahindra Bank and 7.83 crore shares of Biocon. Diamond Power Infrastructure
The stock has delivered a stunning 76 per cent rally since the start of July 2026, climbing from Rs 209 to Rs 369. At the same time, mutual fund ownership surged to 5.08 crore shares in July from just 4.82 lakh shares in June. The holdings are spread across 52 schemes, with a combined value of Rs 1,647 crore.

Ujjivan Small Finance Bank has gained 22 per cent since the beginning of July, rising from Rs 59 to Rs 72. Mutual fund holdings also strengthened, increasing to 59.22 crore shares from 55.95 crore shares a month earlier. These holdings are spread across 129 schemes and are worth Rs 4,249 crore collectively.

The stock has climbed 22 per cent since the start of July, moving from Rs 316 to Rs 386. Mutual funds raised their exposure to 24.43 crore shares in July, up from 23.20 crore shares in June. The holdings span 129 schemes and have a combined value of Rs 9,423 crore.

Lenskart Solutions has posted a 22 per cent gain since the beginning of July, advancing from Rs 515 to Rs 627. Mutual fund holdings rose to 23.12 crore shares, compared with 21.30 crore shares in June. The stock is now held across 187 schemes, with mutual fund investments valued at Rs 12,981 crore.

Swiggy has gained 14 per cent since the start of July, rising from Rs 239 to Rs 274. Mutual fund ownership increased to 66.74 crore shares from 63.02 crore shares in June. The holdings are distributed across an impressive 257 schemes and are collectively valued at Rs 19,011 crore.

Shadowfax Technologies
Shadowfax Technologies has advanced 14 per cent since the beginning of July, moving from Rs 226 to Rs 257. Mutual funds increased their holdings sharply to 11.37 crore shares, up from 8.25 crore shares in June. These holdings are spread across 56 schemes and are worth Rs 2,761 crore.

Ashok Leyland has risen 12 per cent since the start of July, with its share price moving from Rs 158 to Rs 176. Mutual fund holdings edged higher to 60.15 crore shares from 57.80 crore shares in June. The holdings span 256 schemes and carry a combined value of Rs 9,996 crore.

Punjab National Bank has posted a 9 per cent gain since the beginning of July, climbing from Rs 107 to Rs 117. Mutual fund holdings increased to 76.34 crore shares, compared with 74.80 crore shares in June. Across 201 schemes, these holdings are collectively valued at Rs 8,604 crore.

Hindalco Industries has gained 9 per cent since the start of July, rising from Rs 957 to Rs 1,043. Mutual fund ownership increased to 24.70 crore shares from 22.87 crore shares in June. The holdings are spread across 412 schemes, the highest among the stocks listed here, and are valued at Rs 24,069 crore.

Union Bank of India has climbed 8 per cent since the beginning of July, moving from Rs 172 to Rs 186. Mutual fund holdings rose notably to 41.48 crore shares from 35.15 crore shares in June. The holdings are distributed across 205 schemes and have a combined value of Rs 7,104 crore.
